Description
This is a contemporary nine-branched Hanukkah menorah, or Hanukkiah, manufactured by Rite Lite Ltd. The item is constructed from a silver-toned metal alloy and features a traditional branched design. Eight candle cups are supported by four pairs of curved arms decorated with a repeating beaded or knotted pattern. The ninth cup, the shamash or helper candle, is positioned at the end of the central stem and is separated from the main branches by an integrated openwork Star of David. The central stem is supported by a turned column that rests on a flared, circular, stepped base with a gadrooned decorative edge. The central stem bears an incised mark that reads: © Rite Lite Ltd.
Dimensions: 9 X 7 X 3 inch.
Condition report:
The item is in good, stable condition. Surface wear and light oxidation are present throughout, consistent with age and use. Significant blue-colored candle wax residue is visible within several of the candle cups.
