Lot 1:
Description
A porcelain figurine titled Dancer with Veil, manufactured by NAO, a subsidiary of the Lladro group. The piece depicts a rhythmic gymnast or dancer in a seated, dynamic pose. The figure is shown with a long, white, flowing ribbon or veil that loops around her body and is held in her outstretched hands. She is wearing a slate gray leotard with a short pleated skirt and matching gray ballet-style slippers with ribbon ties. The figurine is finished in a high-gloss glaze. The base features a brown printed mark with the letters N, A, and O inside a diamond shape, followed by NAO, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, by LLADRÓ, and © DAISA. A small circular white sticker with the printed number 565 is also present on the underside.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition. A visual inspection shows no chips, cracks, or evidence of professional repair to the delicate edges of the veil or the extremities. There is minor surface shelf wear and light soiling on the unglazed foot rim of the base.
