Description
This vintage Seiko DX wristwatch features a 17-jewel automatic movement and a cushion-shaped case constructed with a gold-tone base metal top and a stainless steel case back. The deep burgundy sunburst dial is accented with gold-tone applied hour markers and a day-date aperture at the 3 o’clock position. Dial markings include SEIKO, AUTOMATIC, DX, 17 JEWELS, and MOV’T JAPAN 6106-8779T at the bottom edge. The case back is stamped SEIKO, 6106-8439, WATER RESISTANT, STAINLESS STEEL BACK, BASE METAL TOP, and JAPAN A, with serial number 120199. The timepiece is fitted with a gold-tone Speidel USA expansion-style bracelet; the underside of the end links is marked 1/50 10K R.G.P. ENDS. Case size: 37mm.
Condition report:
The watch is in well-used vintage condition. The acrylic crystal displays significant surface scratching and scuffing. The gold-tone finish on the case and expansion bracelet shows visible wear, thinning, and some pitting, particularly along the edges and high-contact areas. Accumulations of grime and debris are present in the crevices of the case and bracelet links. The automatic movement is untested and its working status is unknown.
