Description
A Lladro porcelain figurine titled Jesus, model number 5167. The piece is modeled as a standing figure of Christ with arms outstretched in a gesture of welcome. The figure is attired in a long, flowing grey-white robe with deep, pleated folds and wide sleeves. The facial features, beard, and long hair are finished in a soft, naturalistic color palette. The underside of the base features a blue underglaze stamp with the stylized bell-flower logo above the text LLADRÓ HAND MADE IN SPAIN © DAISA 1982. Incised marks E-21 E and additional hand-incised decorator codes are also present on the base.
Dimensions: 14.75 x 9.5 x 4 inches.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition. A visual inspection shows no chips, cracks, or evidence of professional repair to the delicate edges of the veil or the extremities. There is minor surface shelf wear and light soiling on the unglazed foot rim of the base.
