New Beginnings
Lot 46:
Description
This tall, cylindrical ceramic vase is constructed with a flared trumpet neck. The exterior is decorated with hand-painted motifs inspired by the work of Gustav Klimt, specifically featuring a portrait of a woman set against a background of complex geometric patterns and mosaic-like elements. The decoration utilizes metallic lusters in shades of gold and bronze, complemented by muted blue accents and spiral volutes. Some areas of the patterning appear to have incised or textured detailing. The base is finished with a dark, mottled glaze and does not bear any visible manufacturer marks or artist signatures.
Dimensions: 8 x 8 x 26 inch.
Condition report:
The vase is in good condition. There are no observable chips, cracks, or restorations. Minor surface wear and spotting are present on the glaze of the upper rim and the underside of the base.
