Description
This painting is a hand-executed composition after the work Zephyr Bird by Joan Miró (Spanish, 1893-1983). The abstract composition features biomorphic and geometric forms rendered in a vibrant palette of orange, turquoise, purple, and yellow against a textured red background. The forms are defined by thin black outlines, characteristic of mid-century modern surrealist abstraction. The work is executed in gouache or acrylic on paper or board. It is signed with a stylized monogram above the word CACOPHONY in black block letters in the lower-left corner. The painting is presented in a white wooden frame with a white mat.
