Description
This modernist abstract oil painting is executed on a rigid panel and mounted to a larger backing board covered in coarse burlap. The work features a highly stylized figure rendered with non-naturalistic, geometric facial features, including vertical yellow ovals for eyes and circular orange cheeks, set against a neutral cream-colored background. The artist employs broad, expressive brushwork with notable areas of impasto, particularly within the depiction of the hair and the surrounding background. While the front of the work is unsigned, the verso of the hardboard backing contains a handwritten inscription in black marker that reads, To Miami Museum / Bruce Larsen. The painting is housed in a simple, gray-painted wooden shadow-box style frame.

Condition report:
The panel exhibits visible surface dirt, particularly on the light-colored background. There is minor scuffing and small points of paint loss along the top edge of the panel. The burlap mount shows general age-related wear.
