Description
This Lladro porcelain figurine depicts a European Goldfinch, also known as a Stieglitz, in a naturalistic downward-reaching pose. The bird is perched on a branch adorned with pale green leaves and a cluster of light blue berries. The piece is constructed of glazed and hand-painted porcelain. The underside of the base contains multiple identifying marks, including a green underglaze factory stamp featuring a crown above a stylized floral emblem with the word Germany printed below. The word handgemahlt is stamped in green, and a small hand-painted decorator mark in dark gray is located near the vent hole. The base is incised with the name Stieglitz along the upper inner rim and Karner along the lower inner rim, with a numeral 2 incised to the right.

Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition. A visual inspection shows no chips, cracks, or evidence of professional repair to the delicate edges of the veil or the extremities. There is minor surface shelf wear and light soiling on the unglazed foot rim of the base.
