Description
A Lladro porcelain figurine of a young elephant depicted in a playful seated posture with its trunk curled upward and its head tilted slightly. The sculpture is crafted from porcelain with a high-gloss glaze in variegated shades of dark charcoal and slate gray, with lighter highlights used to emphasize the modeled skin textures, joints, and folds of the hide. The underside of the base features a factory mark and the word handgemalt. The base also includes a clear incised signature for the artist Th. Karner, an incised capital letter E, and a small circular vent hole typical of hollow-cast porcelain figures

Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition. A visual inspection shows no chips, cracks, or evidence of professional repair to the delicate edges of the veil or the extremities. There is minor surface shelf wear and light soiling on the unglazed foot rim of the base.
