Description
This is a matched pair of drop earrings produced by David Howell and Co. featuring a design based on the Piet Mondrian painting Broadway Boogie Woogie. Each earring is constructed with a rectangular, geometric openwork frame made of gold-tone metal. The design utilizes a giclee print technique to replicate Mondrian’s signature Neoplasticism grid pattern in a primary color palette of yellow, blue, and red. Two small, square, translucent beads in red and light blue glass or resin are integrated into the grid of each earring. The earrings are suspended from gold-tone French wire findings. The pair is presented in the original manufacturer box with an informational insert card regarding the artist and the inspiration for the jewelry. The card is marked DAVID HOWELL and CO. DESIGN USA MADE.
Condition report:
The earrings are in excellent condition with no visible signs of wear or damage. They remain in the original manufacturer packaging with the descriptive insert.
