Description
A Spanish bisque porcelain figurine produced by Lladro. The piece depicts a stylized standing female figure in a contemplative pose, dressed in minimalist attire consisting of a short-sleeved top and briefs with a long shawl draped from one shoulder. The figure is set upon an integral rocky outcropping base. The color palette consists of muted tones including off-white, soft greys, and earthy tans. The underside of the base features several incised marks including the script name Porceval, the block-lettered phrase MADE IN SPAIN, a stylized character resembling a combination of the letters J and L, and a small plus sign. A gold foil oval sticker is also present on the base bearing the name Porceval in script.
Dimensions: 14.5x 5.5 x 5 in.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition. A visual inspection shows no chips, cracks, or evidence of professional repair to the delicate edges of the veil or the extremities. There is minor surface shelf wear and light soiling on the unglazed foot rim of the base.
