C. 1870. Full plate, tinted tintype portraits: of Sarah Jane Beatty (1839-1917) and her daughters, Hannah Jane (1863-1947) and Dora Anne (1861-1947); of William H. Beatty (1840-1880), both were identified on the back by Hanna?s daughter, Dora. A third is of an unidentified young woman, possibly Emma Friel, who is listed in the Betty household in the 1870 census. Provenance: the collection of the late Jo Louise Brown, Zoar, Ohio.
