Description
A LOMO Smena Symbol 35mm film camera manufactured in the USSR. The camera features a black plastic body with a vertically ribbed texture. It is equipped with a LOMO T-43 lens with a 40mm focal length and a maximum aperture of f/4. The lens face includes markings for ГOCT-ASA 250 130 65, DIN 25 22 19, T-43, 4/40, and the ЛОМО logo. The lens barrel contains an aperture scale ranging from 4 to 16 and a ring with symbols for various weather and lighting conditions. The camera body includes a top-mounted film advance lever, a shutter release button, and an accessory cold shoe. The front faceplate is marked in both Cyrillic as CMEHA SYMBOL and Latin as SMENA SYMBOL. The reverse of the camera features a film speed reminder dial with scales for ГOCT-ASA and DIN alongside film type icons. No serial number is visible in the provided images. The lot includes a black synthetic vinyl ever-ready style carrying case with an integrated shoulder strap and an embossed ЛОМО logo on the front.
Condition report:
The camera is in fair to good cosmetic condition. The body shows visible surface scuffs, particularly on the back plate, and some accumulated dust. The lens appears clear with no major visible scratches; however, it has not been professionally inspected for internal haze or fungus. Mechanical functions, including the shutter and film transport, are untested and the operational status is unknown. The carrying case shows moderate wear and signs of aging to the material and strap.
